Napa Valley Tomato Festival
First Napa Valley Tomato Festival set for September 4th A family celebration!
September 4, 2010 | 3-6pm Festival Farm Fresh Dinner at 6:30pm
The Napa Valley First Tomato Festival will celebrate the ripe red fruit in this friendly festival that will feature gourmet food purveyors, wine, beer, fun and live entertainment.
This new annual event, a project of the nonprofit Connolly Ranch and the Napa County Farm Bureau, will run Saturday September 4th from 3-6pm at Connolly Ranch, 3141 Browns Valley Road in Napa at the corner of Browns Valley Road and Thompson Ave. A festive farm fresh dinner will follow at 6:30pm.
The event will include contests, demonstrations, vendors and entertainment to appeal to all ages, from small children to seniors.
Participants of all ages are invited to participate in the Tomato and/or Recipe contests: - Best Tasting Tomato - Best Tasting Cherry Tomato - Best Character Tomatoes - Best Salsa - Best Gazpacho
The festival will open at 3pm on September 4th. Admission is $20 per person and includes a free drink and a $10 compesos redeemable at Compadres Rio Grille, $10 for children 11-18. Children under 11 will be admitted without charge.
Farm Fresh Dinner served family style, fine wines, silent and a live auction will follow at 6:30pm. $100 per person. Please call 707.224.5403 to RSVP.
