A Dream Interrupted, A Life Reborn
A Dream Interrupted is roughly based on the true story of Rodney and his wife and co-producer Kay Ellison-James who was diagnosed with Breast Cancer in October 2008. Kay has had the awesome opportunity to be one of the key sources for her husband on this project in a way that neither one of them would have ever dreamed.
"A Dream Interrupted, A Life Reborn tells the story of one women*s dream life; her proposed marriage to the man of her dreams,a dream interrupted by, the denial, fear and secretiveness of the diagnosis, her mates shocking perspective, the trials of treatment, and her ultimate survival and recovery with the support of family. This poignant work gives an up close and personal glimpse of a disease that touches us all. In A Dream Interrupted, KayRod Productions, purpose is to promote community awareness through theater, while advocating and informing women and young girls about early screening, early detection, public support, healing, and recovery.
