Shoestring Theatre Company presents: 3 Act Minimum
This incredible evening of one-act plays will be performed at Master Of None in New Haven's beautiful Upper State Street district.

Coax, written by Neil LaBute and directed by Nicholas Theodoseau, is a sharp and clever piece that pokes holes in the idea of "conventional" theatre.  As a young man waits for his companion to arrive, he discusses with the audience his problems with the idea of the "fourth wall" and raises the question, "How do you know for sure that what is happening on stage isn't real?"

At Home, written by Michael Weller and directed by Jeremy Tortora, finds Paul and Carol, a perfect couple, squabbling as they prepare dinner for themselves and another couple who are on their way over. We are constantly thrown off balance, never knowing for sure if the marriage is in trouble or their squabbling is just the normal banter of a marriage. They talk about splitting up but are they serious?

The Yellow Umbrella, written and directed by Daniel O'Mara, is a story of love and loss with an unlikely twist. John and Addison are at a crossroads in there relationship. Addison is trying to convince John that he needs to move on because they cannot be together any longer. This is because Addison is dead and this is the day of her funeral. It is also the day that John is to find his soulmate, Trudy. Filling out the healing process are Palmer, JohnÃÃ,¢s larger-than-life best friend, a pot-smoking God, and a gay Jesus. Filled with laughter and tears, The Yellow Umbrella is a story about choosing what to do when the rest of your life is about to begin...or the rest of your Afterlife.

Please join Shoestring Theatre Company in there inaugural season for this amazing evening!
