Nimbus Dance Works New York City Performances with Taipei Crossover Dance Company

Renowned Taiwanese choreographer Xiao-Xiong Zhang teams
with New York City-based composer Judd Greenstein in this international collaboration performed by world-class American and Taiwanese dancers from Nimbus Dance Works and Taipei Crossover Dance Company. Drawing inspiration from a story by Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi, the work will be accompanied live by the NOW Ensemble. Nimbus Dance Works, hailed as "sophisticated and engaging" and "astonishing in its understated intensity" (The Star-Ledger), will also present the visually arresting Puzzle Pieces, choreographed by Artistic Director Samuel Pott to music by Blue Note Jazz composer Aaron Parks. The program is rounded out by Nimbus' signature work, Memo, which draws on contributions from audience members and a supplementary multi-generational cast of non-dancers to investigate memory through movement.
