Feel the Spirit of Brazil & Crank up the heat with Brazilian food & cocktails!
A Tasting Seminar with native cookbook author Leticia Moreinos-Schwartz, Brazil's national spirit expert, Olie Berlic; along with special guests Steve Luttman, CEO Leblon Cachaca; and Vincente Bastos Ribeiro, master distiller and proprietor of Fazenda Soledad and Nega Fulo
With its beautiful beaches, festive carnival, sensual dances, champion soccer teams, and now the Olympics, Brazil is one of the world's hot spots and popular travel destination. One thing that cannot be overlooked is the country's magnificent food. Brazil has a different historical and cultural heritage than its Latin neighbors. Its cuisine is a mixture of Portuguese, African and native Indian influences, reflected in the typical dishes, ingredients, music, and in the face of Brazilian people.
Join us for a very special tasting of Brazil's national spirit cachaça, and learn about its history and relevance in today's world. Enjoy delicious cocktails, including of course, the national drink of Brazil Caipirinha, paired with delicious classic petiscos (bar food) featured in Leticia's cookbook The Brazilian Kitchen. Embark on a journey through the history of this gorgeous and fascinating country and learn the many ways to use cachaça in cooking and cocktails.
