----------
Proceeds go to a scholarship fund to help people attend Socialism 2010 (http://socialismconference.org), which is one of the most significant annual gatherings of the broad left in the country. The conference brings together progressive student activists, radical academics and intellectuals and other campus activists, rank-and-file trade unionists, teachers, community organizers, and representatives of the left from across the country and around the world.

These annual Socialism conferences have become a central part of the fledgling social movements of our day, giving organizers and activists a space for open discussion and debate, and an opportunity to collaborate in clarifying the ideas that fuel and sustain these movements.

Such conferences are sorely needed today, to help us channel the energy of these crisis-ridden times into left-wing solutions instead of more right-wing disasters.
