BEATS ANTIQUE -- www.beatsantique.com
Growing like wildfire under the canopy of live electonica and world roots music comes Beats Antique, a masterful merge of modern technology, live instrumentation and seductive performance. Beats Antique combines the sounds of the Middle East and orchestral gypsy music with the styles of hip-hop, brass band, downtempo, glitch and dubstep in a new collage of music that is mixed and broken down with clever breakbeats for an adept international flair. Beats Antique is producing an un-charted style of music by adding live horns, accordion, glockenspiel, viola, string quartets, kalimba, clarinet and various unusual instruments to their big beat arrangements.
Born of Oakland, CA, the musical trio consists of producers, David Satori, Sidecar Tommy and world-renowned belly dance performer/producer Zoe Jakes, who helped inspire the thematic Middle East tempo of the band.
On the tails of their latest release, Contraption Vol.1, Beats Antique has been consistently selling out major venues up and down the west coast, and have also toured extensively as support for national acts such as Les Claypool from PRIMUS and Bassnectar. In line with their recent success, Beats Antique has signed on C3 Presents as management, and Madison House as booking.
After only 3 years performing as a cohesive force, the group is about to self release their fourth album, Contraption, Vol. 2 which furthers their journey through new electro-acoustic soundscapes. Their second release, "Collide" on CIA (Miles Copeland's new label, previous manager/producer of The Police, REM, etc.) has consistently held the number one spot in Amazon.com's Middle Eastern category, and has also reached the Top 10 list of most downloaded artists under World Dance, and the Top 20 most downloaded electronica albums.
BILLI SHAKES AND THE PHAKESPEAR ORCHESTRA -- www.billishakes.com
Billi Shakes and the Phakespear Orchestra is a 1920's electro-pop performance group from NYC.
Transporting their audience to a distant plane with the magic of song and dance, this unique blend of 1920's originals, Hip-Hop, Libertine Punk and Electro-Mash is one of a kind and timeless as it is ground-breaking.
Billi and her crew can manipulate and twist their show from a cabaret influenced spectacle to an afterhours naughty dance party. Mixing old time favorites with bass-bumping beats is the name of the game and this gang plays to win! This multi-media presentation includes live on stage VJ and DJ, African dancers and burlesque type antics. The group mixes it up, shakes and stirs, and then pours it out strong. Hope you're ready!
Not only does Billi act as front woman of the Phakespear Orchestra, she is also the sole choreographer for the group. Studying African dance while living in South Africa, Billi combines modern day hip-hop, native African dance moves and classic burlesque styling, giving this unique form of performance a new and timeless feel. Billi Shakes is once again proving that NYC's melting pot of culture and art is alive and exquisite as ever.
JORO-BORO -- www.soundcloud.com/joro-boro
Former resident of the legendary Mehanata Bulgarian Bar in New York, Joro-Boro plays and promotes etnoteck - the dirty and uninhibited side of globalization as a forced feed back into a party without borders, a three-day Balkan wedding in a post-national state where noise, bass and desire detonate the conglomerate mono-culture. He is a monthly host of MoGlo (Modern Global) on Radio New York WNYE 91.5FM (in partenrship with Seattle's KEXP), a regular guest at Brooklyn's underground Rubulad and Danger parties, and has performed with diverse artists ranging from Balkan Beat Box and Bassnectar to Philip Glass and Tinariwen.
HELLFIRE MACHINA -- www.hellfiremachina.com
Prior to the birth of this project in late 2008. Jody Shires and Tom Williams collectively had over 60 releases under their belts, along with production work for grammy nominated artists, numerous UK top ten remixes, 5 Breakspoll Awards, Best International Dj in the Spanish EDM awards 3 years running and a history in bass culture that is second to none.. The year is now 2010, sonic exploration in the realm of bass fueled riddims is the primary mission for Hellfire Machina. With residencies at New Yorks legendary Club Love, Darkroom in Brooklyn and Psychadelic Radio in SF, it's no wonder these guys are in high demand. Their weekly radio show on dubstepfm has gone from strength to strength and has helped push the awareness of bass music across the globe as well as providing a platform to hear the latest Hellfire creations first, often in early stages as they are delevoped in their now famously named studio Planet Twisted. Ending last year with A and R and project management credits for the Wu Tang 'Enter The Dubstep' album and a string of singles and remixes, they have hit the ground running in 2010. A fresh batch of releases due to hit the streets imminently, a new label project with techno legend Lenny Dee in the works as well as the next chapter in the infamous BASS FUELED MISCHIEF parties in their homebase of NYC.
MORPHOUS W/SHIZARU -- www. soundcloud.com/andrewmorphous
Producer/DJ Morphous (a.k.a. Andrew Eisele) has been creating electronic music for more than a decade and has had the privilege of working with some of the best talent in the world. After years of holing up in recording studios, he climbed behind the decks and has been decimating dance floors with his explorations into the sonic mayhem of Bass Culture. In 2008, he released the Rama Chant EP which sat in the top 10 for 6 weeks. New material is slated for release on NY's "Code of Arms" Records. Currently, he has residencies with Kostume Kult, Thunder Gumbo, Bass Fueled Mischief and Metropolis. He's also the Sound Engineer at Club Love.
Shizaru: "I love to perform. "A bilingual vocalist and sometimes improvisational trumpet player", I love to rock the house and specialize in revised covers and fusion with original lyrics and material from both Japan and the western world. I call this kaizen . Essentially it is a tribute to the original artist, but I also work to "improve or enhance" the song which is realized in the lyrical and content and/or sound change ups. Currently I perform 4D live DUBSTEP, SMUTSTEP, SWINGSTEP, WORLD ROCKTRONIKA together with DJ Morphous. I believe and via true collaboration, anything is possible. My enlightened lyrics plus Morphous's musical genius equals fine edutainment!"

One of the founders of the Vitamin B monthly in Brooklyn [http://vitaminbreaks.com/] and a resident of Kostume Kult, Tarquin has been spinning various forms of dubstep, breaks, and electro since 2006. As time goes by and his sound has gravitated more to west coast dub, glitch-hop, acid crunk, and hop-step, he has developed a loyal following which is responsible for tearing up dance floors from New York to Black Rock City. Drawn to anything with massive bass, he crafts his show with an attention to his audience. Each and every set can evolve in myriad different directions, but you can rest assured it will be filled with deep bass and heavy rhythms.
