Shades of Grey
Shades of Grey is performing at The Exit Cafe in San Francisco on May 22nd!
Previously on Shades of Grey: An emotionally repressed British dialect surfaced from the mouth of a timid Pantera follower, a SAG card carrying bum gave self-esteem lessons to an embarrassed BART rider, and a Jewish mother refused burial until proper payment was paid by a bunch of atheists.
Sitting on a 5 stars on Yelp, Shades of Grey urges you to come out and see what others are saying is a well rounded evening of improv theater.
"make you laugh and make you cry all in the same sentence!" -Jeff Shaner
"a wonderful show by two people at the top of their game!" - Daniel Sullavan
"magnificent; the chemistry was bubbling, and the energy definitely sent engaging sparks out into the audience. Colleen C.
And now to your previously scheduled description...
Shades of Grey, is comprised of Marcus Sams, a professionally working Bay Area actor/teacher/technology wiz, and Jill Eickmann, an actor/teacher/drama therapist. The two met in 2005 while working at the Lila Theatre in San Francisco. With many credits under their belt and an undying commitment to the craft they perform 100% improvised shows that are honest, thought provoking and kooky. The style they are committed to is organic, in the moment, theatrical long form. Although their shows are plagued by hilarity, their stories are simply characters with wants and needs that live in a world that is not black and white.
