We're also performing at The Ballard Underground!
You can pick up those tickets here.

I May Have Seen the Devil is a visceral new staging of Hamlet that cuts the original text down (while keeping the original language), re-arranges it, moves the action to a Massachusetts mental asylum in 1946, and rewrites the lead role to by played by a woman as a woman.

Its aim as a production is to bring a vital, vibrant kind of theatre to Seattle, to stage an experience as wild and raw as Shakespeare's classic text has ever seen. Its method is in having nine actors play seventeen parts while collaborating with local artists and a local musician.  And its madness is the collaborative creation of a performance that will surprise, excite, and challenge every kind of audience, from the most fervent Shakespeare fanatic to anyone who doesn't normally go out for Hamlet, Shakespeare, or theatre. This production is first and foremost for them, a classic story told in a dark new way to better shine a harsh light on contemporary concerns with abuses in the mental health system, women's rights, social rights, gay rights, racial discrimination, and the question of whether morality can find a place in a world gone mad in fear of its own mortality.

Any story, told with enough passion, humanity, and honesty, can change the world.  We welcome you, in February 2015, to give us the chance to change yours.

Again, we are performing in TWO different locations over the course of our run - this batch will be at the Seattle Center, 4th Floor of the Armory Building, in Theatre4.
