Arabic Cooking and Baking Series: Sayadieh: Flavors of Yemen Part II
In this series, participants will be invited on a hands-on culinary journey through the Arab world, discovering the history, culture, and science behind some of the Arab world's most essential dishes and seizing the opportunity to produce them with your own hands. Taking us from the gulf, to North Africa, to the Levant, in this session, participants will explore the diverse legendary cuisines of Yemen, Tunisia, and Lebanon.
In this class, participants will learn how to make the mouth-watering savory dish of fish, rice, fried onions and spices called sayadieh. Excellent for seafood lovers, this filling and flavorful dish is the equivalent of Yemeni soul food.
PARTICIPANTS MUST PRE-REGISTER. NO WALK-INS ACCEPTED!

OUR INSTRUCTOR: Hanan Albar
Hanan Albar is currently the facilities manager at the Arab Cultural and Community Center, where she makes the center feel like a home for ACCC staff and the entire community through her loving care. Hanan was born in Hadramout, Yemen and immigrated to the US six years ago, and is the mother of two children.

*ACCC member rates valid for members with a current 2015 ACCC membership. Annual membership expires Dec. 31st of each year.
Must be 15 years of age or older and minors are to be accompanied by a parent unless otherwise approved by instructor.
