An Afternoon with Japanese Tea and Confectionery
Mr. Kyohei Sugimoto, a tea adviser certified by Nihoncha Instructor Association and VP of Business Development of Sugimoto America will give a presentation on the general process of the Japanese tea production and the gourmet green tea produced and blended by award-winning Tea Maestro, Hiroyuki Sugimoto. We will learn how to differentiate fresh tea from old tea, how to store them and how to make good tea at home.
Tokara, the popular Japanese confectionery (Wagashi) maker in Seattle will be giving a presentation on Wagashi, the Japanese traditional confectionery. You will learn to appreciate this art by using all our five senses.
