Limonade Tous les Jours
Exquisite Corps Theatre Company presents Limonade Tous les Jours by Charles L. Mee, April 1 - 10 at the Arsenal Center for the Arts Black Box Theatre, 321 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA.

General admission is $20, and performances are Thursdays at 7:30PM, Fridays at 8PM and Saturdays at 2PM and at 8PM.

Limonade Tous les Jours tells the story of Ya Ya, a young Parisian cabaret singer who meets Andrew, a middle aged American tourist, at a Paris cafe. Both are recovering from recent ruined love relationships. The two spend the day exploring the city together, speaking of all the reasons why they shouldn't fall in love.  And so: they do.

Louisa Richards, director of Limonade and artistic director of Exquisite Corps observes, "Mee takes us on a journey that celebrates that electric shock you only get from a moment of connection with someone unexpected -- so strong that it takes over your whole being.  His plays demand a multidisciplinary approach -- one both lyrical and physical -- that really embodies the Exquisite Corps aesthetic."  The production incorporates elements of opera, nightclub singing, modern dance and photography.

The production stars Marie Polizzano (New Repertory Theatre, The Huntington Theatre Company) and Peter Haydu (Stoneham Theatre, New Repertory Theatre, Publick Theatre), and introduces countertenor Doug Dodson to the area.  Mr. Haydu appears in this production courtesy of Actor's Equity Association.

Limonade Tous les Jours is directed by Louisa Richards, with music direction by Adrienne Boris.  The set design is by Kathryn Kawecki, and lighting design is by Tamar Shavit.

Previous projects by Exquisite Corps include:  Love's Fire (Arsenal Center for the Arts; August 2009), Infinite Story: The Exquisite Corps Play Project (Boston Playwright's Theatre; September 2009) and Two Gentlemen of Lebowski (The Factory Theatre, February 2010).

Exquisite Corps, Inc. is a Boston-based, non-profit theatre company whose goal is to produce daring works for the stage -- using simple means to tell powerful stories -- with a focus on contemporary and modern plays which are little-known or rarely performed. Through willingness to experiment and a process that empowers the ensemble, Exquisite Corps continually strives to cultivate meaningful and provocative relationships between text, artist, and audience.

The Core Members of Exquisite Corps are: Louisa Richards (Artistic Director), Adrienne Boris, Peter Floyd, Janelle Mills, Bob Mussett and Giselle Ty.
