Tales That Stand Up Tall
TALES THAT STAND UP TALL Sunday, January 26 at 3:30pm Sunday, February 2 at 3pm Here's a group of fables, told through stunning animation and live action. You'll swim to an enchanted Italian villa, go on a voyage through the night sky, find out why the wily fox doesn't always win his battles and travel deep inside an ice cave to melt a mystery. For ages 8+. Films in Italian, Russian, and Danish have English subtitles. There are a few tense moments, when sensitive viewers might worry about the underdog in battles between foxes and birds; but there are happy endings. Wake Up (Maristella Bonomo, Italy); A Tale about a Christmas Tree (Maria Mouat, Russia); The Boy and the Moon (Rino Alaino, Italy/UK); The Fox and the Chickadee (Evan DeRushie, Canada); Mammy Crow and the Fox (Mohammad-Ali Soleymanzadeh, Iran); The Secret of the Ice Flower (Malene Iversen, Denmark)
