Parallel 45 is thrilled to bring you Tennessee Williams' epic story of a woman who undergoes a spectacular disintegration as she struggles to survive. For nearly 60 years, audiences have voraciously devoured Blanche's unraveling, unable to turn away from the very public spectacle of her private shame. Directed by Parallel 45 Artistic Director Kit McKay, this production of A Streetcar Named Desire will approach this collapse from a new angle, employing a large ensemble cast and immersive staging that pushes the production past traditional "kitchen sink" boundaries. Starring Parallel 45 founding member Katherine Dillingham Mazer, Parallel 45 will tackle a character so large, she has become an archetype all her own.
