50th Anniversary Messiah Sing
Clarendon United Methodist Church is delighted to present the 50th Anniversary of the Messiah Sing-Along. Dr. J. Reilly Lewis inaugurated this beloved Washington DC-area tradition in 1971. For 45 years, countless community members joyfully ushered in the Christmas season under his baton. Since Reilly's death in 2016, Clarendon UMC has been honored to carry on this cherished event, and help preserve his legacy of making the experience of choral singing available to anyone.
Limited in-person tickets are available. In the interest of everyone's safety, all persons attending in person will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID test within 72 hours of the event in order to enter. Masks will be required for the entirety of the concert.
The live stream is available for FREE at the following link, no tickets required: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvGpjag7EE4EnpVb4odDDhg.
We hope you will join us in singing Part I of Handel's immortal masterpiece and celebrate the gift of community singing that Reilly so passionately espoused!
