Healthy Connections is proud to present to you another stellar breastfeeding event. Our event in 2020 was cancelled due to the pandemic, but we are back in 2021! This year we have Dr Jane Morton speaking! Dr Morton's website is www.firstdroplets.com If you have ever taught a patient how to do hand expression, you have likely used Dr Morton's technique. The event will be held online only.

Thursday will feature Dr Jane Morton online through Zoom. The conference will start at 6:30 and end around 8:30 after a Q & A session. The price for attending Thursday only is 50$.
Friday's event on Sept 24, 2021 will be online now as well. The conference will begin at 8:00. Dr Morton will speak until 12:00 at which time we will take a lunch break. After lunch we have Anne Cassens, IBCLC speaking until 4:00. Anne's website is www.thebabywhispererlactationservices.com The day will wrap up at 4:00. The price for Friday only is 100$. There is also a package Thursday + Friday package deal for 125$.

There is a block of rooms reserved at the Wadena Americinn. The price is 95$ if you mention the "Healthy Connections" rate. Call 218-631-8882. The block of rooms will be released on Sept 7.

Thank you all for signing up for our breastfeeding class! We had sent out a communication about 2 weeks ago stating that the class had moved to being entirely online now. It seems as if some of you did not get that email (I wonder if it went to your junk mail? It came from Brown Paper Tickets). Then yesterday we sent out the zoom links and it seems as if some of you did not get those either. I am going to try to individually (manually) type in everyones email off the Brown Paper Tickets registrations and hope it goes through. If there are other people within your organization that are signed up for this class, please ask them if they have received the links. If they did not, kindly forward this to them. Thank you!

If you are not familiar with Zoom meetings, you can go on their website for a tutorial and to check your system to see if you have everything you will need for the classes. It is important for you to do this before the class starts, as there might not be much support available during the class to help you figure everything out. When you log into the class, it would be helpful if everyone could turn their video off. With video on, it takes a lot more bandwidth, and if some people are watching from home, their internet might not support video from all participants.
