Sara Schoenbeck + Wayne Horvitz
The Howland, Beacon's unparalleled arts and entertainment venue, now celebrating its 40th Anniversary of bringing the arts and entertainment to Beacon and the Hudson Valley, is pleased to present Sara Schoenbeck and Wayne Horvitz.
Wire Magazine places Schoenbeck in "the tiny club of bassoon pioneers," a statement with with which her past associates like Anthony Braxton, Nels Cline, etc. would undoubtedly agree; she joins forces with the veteran Downtown keyboardist and composer Horvitz (Naked City, The President, Fontella Bass, Eddie Palmieri) in a duo combining compositional acuity with ardent spontaneity.
