THE DIRTY 30s
Please join our annual celebration of success and opportunity at Stray Dog Theatre's The Dirty 30s Soirée fundraiser to be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 beginning at 6:00pm at SDTs Tower Grove Abbey venue. Dust off your fedora, slip into your finest, and join us for a night of revelry with guest host Andy Martone. Gather your friends and bring honor to your family with an evening of cocktails, dinner, performances, and dancing as we forget prohibition and party the night away at The Kennel Club!
Community Impact of Stray Dog Theatre
Since 2003, SDT has been positively impacting the lives of youth, families, and communities throughout the Saint Louis area:
- SDT produces a variety of mainstage comedies, dramas, and musicals that are attended by 10,000+ audience members annually.
- SDT and its artists received 15 nominations and one award from the St. Louis Theater Circle for its 2018 mainstage productions.
- SDT stages an annual New Works Laboratory wherein playwrights, performers, and audiences interact to refine as-yet-unpublished scripts as they unfold live on stage.
- SDT operates six Arts-In-Mind (AIM) after school programs that provide theatre-focused education for 240+ students every school day.
- SDT hosts 16 two-week-long Arts-In-Reach (AIR) youth arts camps that serve 300+ students over the summer months.
- SDT offers senior citizens the experience of performing in an annual production through Silver Stage Senior Theatre.
- SDT sponsors food drives as part of its Arts-In-Deed (AID) community outreach initiatives that have collected thousands of nonperishables in support of our neighbors in need.
- SDT donates performance tickets to clients of other community-focused organizations to help ensure participation by many who might otherwise never have the opportunity to experience the arts.
