Philippine Holiday Lantern Festival 2019
ATTENTION TO ALL FILIPINO-AMERICANS LIVING IN THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST:
Come celebrate our 1st Annual Philippine Holiday Lantern Festival with us! Fiesta, Food, Music, and FUN!!
Dr. Jose Rizal Park & Bridge Foundation; in cooperation with the Seattle Parks & Recreation Dept., and Neighborhood Matching Funds, proudly presents Philippine Holiday Lantern Festival.
Come and join us as we celebrate the Filipino way of Culture and Tradition! We will have games and activities for all ages.
Santa Photo Booth, Traditional Table Setting Displays, Parol (lantern) Contest, Holiday Carols, Traditional Holiday Treats, Raffle prizes, and many, many more. Grand prize for raffle tickets is a Filipino Style (Pig Luau) Lechon (delivered at your home on December 24th) for your Noche Buena. You know you want that!!
Join the Parol Making Competition! Unite and gather your entire family to design and make a family project and join the parade and competition. This is a great way to bond with your family. Parol (lantern) and Lighting Display Parade at 7pm.
If you own a Parol, please allow us to display it at the park. The more Parols we have, the brighter the park gets! It will be returned to you after the event.
We are also looking for Amazing and Energetic Volunteers to help prepare, setup, man with booths, and with breakdown.
Volunteers are requested to arrive early at 9am for Training and Set Up. Food and drinks are provided for your services. Please report to Jules for your ID Badge and Food Ticket(s). Student Volunteers will get GPS Student Credit Hours.
