Canciones para Puerto Rico
Join us for an evening of Spanish canciones and romantic zarzuela featuring some of Seattles finest opera singers, accompanied by pianists Beth Kirchhoff and Glenda Williams and guitarists Lucas Victor, Max Shaffer, & Connor Ritchie. All proceeds will benefit One Human Family Coalition and The Free Healthcare Clinic of Quebradillas, Puerto Rico, a free and self-sustainable, volunteer-led clinic.

This clinic is currently occupying 15% of a medical facility and hopes to expand within its buildings available space via necessary monetary donations in order to serve more people in need of medical attention. Selling all 200 tickets to this event will allow us to raise $3,000 and as a result, sponsor the development of two more patient rooms, which includes the supplies needed for each examination room. Help us reach our goal by buying your ticket (and one for a friend) today!

More about the La Isla Foundation:

In September 2017, two back-to-back hurricanes destroyed much of Puerto Ricos infrastructure that has resulted in more than 95% of the island without electricity and leaving the island in dire need of food and potable water. Quickly thereafter, volunteers in the Puget Sound area created the La Isla Foundation, a non-profit organization, to help meet this immediate need. Since its inception in early October of last year, this active, volunteer-led organization has not only filled and delivered four large storage units with water, food for pet and human consumption, and emergency, medical, and hygiene supplies, but sorted through a plethora of donations to create just over 100 family care packages, over 120 first-aid kits, and filled 100 reusable bags of groceries for hurricane survivors. In the winter that followed, La Isla Foundation sent volunteers to distribute water filters and water filtration systems for community use. Six months after both hurricanes struck Puerto Rico, the La Isla Foundation is partnering with non-profit organizations on the island to establish more sustainable methods of long-term recovery.
