Welcome to Fremont, Center of the Universe!!
Thanks for your interest in our playful walking tour. Our schedule and times vary according to month. Check the calendar below.
The Fremont Tour, A Street Theater promotes public art in Seattle's Fremont District with a mix of public sculpture and improvisational street theater. Our tour is very interactive as we participate in an ART ATTACK (with the sculpture Waiting for the Interurban), fire the 47' Fremont Rocket (aimed at city hall) and meet the Fremont Troll's Cousin (under the Aurora Bridge). Our tour guides are in costume and playfully involve strangers in the street who have NO IDEA they are going to be a part of our story. This makes each tour fun and unique.
OUR MISSION IS TO ENCOURAGE PEOPLE TO FIND THEIR PLAYFULNESS THROUGH ART AND HISTORY. AND THIS IS WHAT HAPPENS.
Our walking tour takes place in the Fremont District of Seattle which is 4 miles north of the downtown core. It is a 15 minute bus drive (#5, 26, 28, 40). The tour is 80 minutes long and we walk about 1/2 mile. We end in the core of Fremont close to The Fremont Sunday Market, local shops and cafes so you can eat and play after the tour.
Our 2018 season will begin in June. But we do special group tours (weddings, business, conventions etc.) throughout the year.
We begin the tour at Solstice Plaza (711 North 34th Street, Seattle, WA 98103). It is family friendly and wheelchair accessible.
