After a successful run from 1990 to 1996, McKinney Community Theater was reinstated as McKinney Summer Musicals (MSM) in 2007 with a crowd-pleasing production of Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. Every year since then, we have upheld a tradition of excellence with musical and non-musical productions, includingSteel Magnolias and Oklahoma! in 2017. To reflect this focus on presenting a diverse variety of shows, we have changed our name to McKinney Performing Arts (MPA). MPA continues to grow, garnering increased support from across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex -- and beyond. Our professionalism and exceptional staging attract talented, dedicated cast and crew members of all ages. Come and be a part of our magic!
The mission of McKinney Performing Arts is to provide high quality productions and to promote, improve and sustain the fine arts in the McKinney area with the involvement of actors, vocalists, dancers, instrumentalists, and artists in allied fields. McKinney Performing Arts is also dedicated to supporting fine arts education.
