Positive Vector: marathon & half marathon

This page is for registering to participate in the Positive Vector Marathon & Half Marathon. You can use this form to sign up to run or volunteer at the event on 12/17/22. About the Event
Positive Vector is a mostly self-supported marathon and half marathon that seeks to support mental health by raising funds for NAMI Chippewa Valley, and opening up a conversation about mental illness.
The Route
The run is on Saturday, December 17th, 2022. The marathon will start at 10am in Mondovi, WI, at the Roger Marten Community Center. The half marathon will start at 12pm in Rock Falls, WI, at Rock Creek Hall. Runners are responsible for their own transportation to the start. We suggest car pooling! The route will follow mixed-use trails & rural roadways, finishing at 322 Water St. in Eau Claire, WI.
Runners
This event is taking place in Wisconsin in the middle of December. We plan to run in the snow, rain, or shine. Only in the case of extreme weather, will this event be called off. Please dress for the weather. Layers are wonderful. Have water and energy on hand. A running backpack or belt is recommended. Water, energy, and other forms of support along the route are contingent upon volunteer recruitment. We expect to have some support, but be ready to support yourself. This is a small event, perhaps stick with a group or running buddy, and we can support each other.
Volunteers
There is plenty to do! Helping share water and snacks along the route. Being a bike marshal among the pack of runners. Checking people in at the start. Pointing runners in the right direction along the route. Driving a sag wagon. And more! We could definitely use your support to make this silly thing a big success!
All runners and volunteers will get a special event shirt.
