Hold Tight; Let Loose
The dance community of BSD is pleased to announce the return of the traditional Spring Show at the New  England Youth Theater after two interrupted seasons! This show, titled Hold On; Let Loose brings  together original works by local and guest choreographers in celebration of perseverance through trying  times and is testimony to the spirit of endurance.

This show will feature more than ten artistically crafted pieces of choreography that span the stylistic  spectrum from classical ballet to modern expressionism. Joyously reclaiming the healing power of  dancing together, the performers combine the energies of children, teens, and multigenerational adults.  This years pieces include choreography by six BSD faculty members, Rachel Hebert, Holly Johnson,  Sonya Marx, Alison Mott, Nan Mann, and Bridget Struthers, and two guest choreographers, Cyndal Ellis  of Vermont, and Angie Moon of New York City. This is a must see performance that promises to be  uplifting and exciting, powerful and fresh.

As you may know, Brattleboro School of Dance has been providing high-quality dance instruction for the  past 45 years, and has a new location at 181 Main Street in Brattleboro. Your advertisement in our  program directly supports not only this production, but the BSD Scholarship Fund. This scholarship  fund distributes need and merit based scholarships for students of all ages to begin or continue to  dance, regardless of their ability to afford tuition.

Currently, NEYT is functioning at reduced capacity (100 seats per performance) to enable social distancing. Tickets are general admission, so if you know where you want to sit, come early!

Audience members will be required to present proof of vaccination or a statement of a negative test (within 48 hours). Masks are required for audience members.
