Thirteen Presents an evening with Korby Lenker
Multi-instrumentalist and award-winning songwriter Korby Lenker is a modern Renaissance Man. A published author of fiction, he released his 8th studio album, Man in the Maroon in May 2021. It sent waves through many critical circles, making this years Best Albums of the Year List by American Songwriter Magazine.
Born in Idaho on the Snake River Canyon, Korbys smart, heartfelt songs have won several songwriting awards, including both wins and finalist appearances at the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival, Hazel Dickens Songwriting Contest, Telluride Troubadour Competition, Kerrville Folk Festival, Merlefest, and the International Songwriting Competition.
December 2015 saw the publication of Korbys first book, a collection of short stories called Medium Hero. A critical success, the effort was warmly received from widely diverse sources such as Steve Wozniak and National Book Award-winning author Tim OBrien, who wrote: Korbys keen control of narrative voice is spot-on in each of these stories distinctive, disarming, entertaining and completely convincing.
Korbys latest project is a scripted television series called Morse Code, which he created, produces and stars. Featuring new original music with each episode, Morse Code takes an intimate, authentic look into the life and challenges of an indie folksinger in the present age. Korby raised more than 50k from private investors and is filmed the pilot episode in February 2022 in East Nashville. His team is working toward a Nashville premiere in June 2022.
