JCBC Field Trip
The JCBC is taking a field trip! We'll be visiting the Booze History Museum in Staten Island, and Brooklyn Kura in Brooklyn. We may also visit Big Alice Brewing next door to Brooklyn Kura, depending on how we feel.
Leaves from Hudson Hall in Jersey City at 2PM
Brooklyn Kura tour & tasting starts about 5:30PM
INCLUDED IN TRIP:
-Transportation from Jersey City to the Booze History Museum in Staten Island
-Transportation from the Booze History Museum in Staten Island to Industry City in Brooklyn
-A subway pass for our return trip to Jersey City
-Private Tour and discussion at the Booze History Museum
-Lunch and vodka drinks at Booze History Museum
-Private Tour and tasting at Brooklyn Kura
**** VERY LIMITED SPACE ****
A maximum of 12 people can attend the Booze History Museum. You can join us for the Brooklyn Portion only, but you will need to plan your own transportation.
ABOUT OUR STOPS:
The Booze History Museum is actually a private collection hosted in a home and is not open to the public. The host, Lev Mezhburd has a massive collection of historic objects related to drinking, and will teach us some history while serving drinks and food. Brooklyn Kura is a sake brewery that previously gave a talk to our club in September 2021. They brew a wide range of sake that will change your ideas of what sake can be. Brooklyn Kura is located in Industry City, a complex with lots of restaurants and food options.
