Tenor and Bass Classics with brothers John and Christopher Giffen Special guests: the Unitarian Chalice Choir Collaborative Pianist: Emily Gantt
Choir member Christopher Giffen brings his professional opera singing brother John from Montreal to lead the choir in choral classics including Quick's Loch Lomond, Lauridsen's Sure on this Shining Night and Copland's Zions Walls. The program also features guests The Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship Chalice Choir, who will add their voices to Franz Biebl's powerfully resonant Ave Maria.
This program exalts the soul and frees the spirit. Singing straight from the heart, the sixteen men of the Choir of the Salish Sea bring you the immediate intimacy of brotherly love and kinship, through classic pieces of timeless, ravishing beauty. Add to that the world-class baritone of professional singer John Giffen from Montreal, and what blossoms is an epic concert for all time and for all people. Kevin Allen-Schmid, Artistic Director
