Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol
The WatermelonAlligator Theatre Company is proud to announce the upcoming live dramatization of Charles Dickens' immortal "A Christmas Carol" on December 17th, 2021, at 7:30pm at the Bryantville United Methodist Church, 546 Mattakeesett Street, Pembroke, MA.

Dickens' iconic story of greed, compassion, magic, and redemption will come to life through acting, music, and live sound effects. Miserly Ebenezer Scrooge makes life miserable for everyone around him  especially his long-suffering clerk, Bob Cratchit. One fateful Christmas Eve, Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business associate, Jacob Marley -- a man who was as greedy and cold as Scrooge is -- who warns Scrooge that if he continues to live so selfishly, he will spend eternity wearing the chains that his greed has built. Three more spirits visit Scrooge that night: the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Christmas Present, and Christmas Yet to Come, who show Scrooge his error in valuing money over people. Scrooge, frightened by this bleak perspective on his life, awakes on Christmas morning a new man, promising to change his ways.

This presentation will be done in the style of a 1940s radio show complete with LIVE sound effects performed on stage by the actors. Its a great opportunity to travel back in time to storytelling before the digital age!

This heartwarming evening of theater will be performed at the Bryantville United Methodist Church in Pembroke, MA, for one day only  December 17th, 2021, at 7:30pm!  Seating is general admission. Tickets are $15 and available in advance online or by phone reservation. If not sold out, tickets will also be available at the door 30 minutes prior to showtime.

Please note that masks are required for all attendees, in keeping with venue requirements and public health guidelines.
