Heyu Kelley was many things to many people: An accomplished artist. A loving father. A loyal friend. An inveterate Burner. An international ambassador. A generous benefactor, a prankster, a curmudgeon, neighbor, teacher, booster, landlord, volunteer, mentor, and a guy who loved to bring people together for a good party.
On Saturday, October 2nd, we will gather at WTF Reserve to celebrate the memory of Heyu in all of his weird and wonderful glory. This will be the kind of sendoff that he would've wanted: no somber speeches, but plenty of art, camaraderie, celebration, food, drink, and, of course, fire.
All who knew and loved Heyu are welcome to attend. However, to ensure that this is the safest event possible in this not-so-safe time in which we live, prospective attendees will need to reserve free tickets and meet COVID-19 safety requirements.
We look forward to celebrating the life of our brilliant and dearly missed friend with you soon.
This event is DIY and BYO. Gifting is welcome. Please know there will be bright and flashing lights at times, especially at night. Also, this event will be live-streamed, and if you are present at the event, you may be on camera.
COVID-19 safety requirements guide:
With this being an event inspired by a human whose life we are celebrating while here on planet Earth and his magnificent transition back to his home plant, as he believed, it has been requested by the host that the following guidelines are set up to ensure the shenanigans of Heyu can play out for eons to come by all partaking in this celebration.
1. If you have been fully vaccinated, you have kindly been requested to email a digital copy of your CDC vaccine card to the email address below. If you cannot email the vaccine card, please bring the CDC vaccine card to the gate. Quick refresher: Fully vaccinated means it has been two weeks or more since your last and final vaccine of either Pfizer, Moderna, or Johnson & Johnson. Please copy and paste the link below in your browser for up-to-date CDC guidelines if needed.
2. If you have not been vaccinated, please be prepared to provide a negative COVID test within 48 hours of the event. Additionally, you are being requested to masked up (nose and mouth covered) for the duration of the event, unless imbibing; this means all humans aged 2 and up with no vaccine record. Additionally, please create 6 feet of distance for yourself when imbibing in food, drink, or using your smoking devices/tobacco products only.
FREE RAPID COVID TESTING for anyone with a picture ID: (this has been verified)

EMAIL=> jenna_rawski@yahoo.com
Please feel free to send a copy of your CDC COVID vaccine card or rapid COVID-19 testing results via email in confidential mode. I will be using the digital copy only to verify each attendee's vaccination record and send you back a confirmation that the record was received and then delete this record. If you would like to send a digital copy of your COVID results, that is also appreciated; however, bringing your results is acceptable. The email system will make gate entry seamless and swift.
We are prepared to provide masks but as always, please BYOM if you know you need or want it for the event.

If you were vaccinated in cook county, you might be able to obtain a digital copy of your vaccine record or QR code using the following link:
Cook County digital CDC vaccine cards QR code: https://vaccine.cookcountyil.gov/
(I have tried this link, and it did not produce records for me, but it did for another person. So worst-case scenario, take a pic of your paper copy of the CDC vaccination card and email...easy peasy.
Also, asking for more distance from your fellow celebrants is acceptable in these times. Kindness is cool. If someone asks for more distance, please make that happen. If the above requirements are not met for your situation, you will be denied entry. Thank you to all for your understanding and cooperation. WTF MAN!
