Design For Early Learning Symposium
A forum for leading-edge thinking around the design of spaces where kids spend their earliest years. Hosted in Seattle for a local, regional and national audience.
Registration includes FOUR online sessions: Monday, September 13, 8-10a Wednesday, September 15, 8-10a Wednesday, September 15, 4-6p Saturday, September 18, 9-noon
High quality design of early learning environments is an important - even essential - pursuit. Achieving well-designed spaces for young children need not be costly or complicated. Our regionally and nationally known panelists and presenters will help us all learn more about how to strengthen connections between designers and early learning practitioners, and to promote the development of great environments for our region's youngest residents. We will focus on creating spaces where kids can thrive - socially, emotionally, physically, mentally and intellectually - while retaining their sense of wonder and building a strong sense of identity.
Sessions will address design thinking, resiliency, inclusion, and the many opportunities for partnership that can connect agencies, educators, administrators and architects.
Funding opportunities specific to facility design and construction in Washington State, King County, Pierce County, City of Seattle and City of Tacoma will be discussed during the Saturday session.
