Fair Housing Seminars October 12, 2021
The City of Roanoke's Fair Housing Board is hosting a two-session in-person seminar on October 12 2021 from 9 am to 4 pm at the Jefferson Center: Fitzpatrick Hall. **Please be aware this event could become a virtual event due to Covid-19, if so email notifications will be sent to registrants by October 4th**
9:00 am - 12:00 pm Fair Housing Law and Basics (A certificate will be available 5 to 7 business days after the seminar if the entire session was attended)
1:30 pm - 3:30 pm Reasonable Accommodations and Disabilities (A certificate will be available 5 to 7 business days after the seminar if the entire session was attended)
The first session will give Fair Housing Law basics and an update on recent changes to protected classes. The session is conducted by a board-approved education provider, which will give you the basic foundation of Fair Housing Law.
Who should take the class? Landlords, property managers, leasing consultants, owners of manufactured housing, the general public, and anyone who sells, leases, owns or manages residential property. Housing providers who complete the course are eligible for state certification by the Fair Housing Board.
