Sun Dae Day Daze
Sun Dae Day Daze is a dance performance choreographed and performed by m i c c a utilizing ice cream as a creative palette and a platform of awareness of food insecurity in the Rockaways. Sun Dae Day Daze is an exclamation of an NYC summer dripping with the collective joy found in our public parks.

**This performance is followed by live music by Idgy Dean.** Idgy Dean (aka Lindsay Sanwald) is a musical artist and creative producer from Brooklyn, New York. She devoted a decade of her life to writing, recording, and touring her mystical/queer/feminist one-woman psychedelic rock shows across the USA and abroad. Idgy Dean has produced numerous community-driven interactive performance art parties at House of Yes and SXSW, was a featured performer on the Chris Gethard Show with Diddy, collaborated with the legendary hip-hop icon and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Darryl DMC McDaniels (founder of Run-DMC), and was selected to be a participant in the 2016 Red Bull Music Academy in Montreal, where she received mentorship from Björk, Pauline Oliveros, Susan Rogers, Jam & Lewis, Deradoorian, tUnE-yArDs, Dev Hynes, Thundercat, Dorian Concept, and Matias Aguayo.
m i c c a is a non-binary Rockaway resident, performer, choreographer & creator. They are a platform of possibility to reimagine environments through gathering for movement installations, exclamations. A community driven gatherer offering experiences invested in choice and sensation. We are viscerally genuine, raw & sensual, inclusive and committed to creative accessibility.
All Sun Dae Day Daze events are FREE. We are partnering with Rockaway Mutual Aid to take action against food insecurity by holding a food & essential item drive to supply our community fridges and pantries. Please bring items such as canned food, soap, deodorant, toothbrushes, diapers, paper towels, etc.
