The Art of Storytelling
Sharing stories is human's oldest tradition; it is cathartic and community-building. But sometimes the story we're dying to tell just doesn't come out right. And that's what this workshop is for.
Storytelling is still a skill worth practicing - it won't just make you an engaging party guest, it also will enhance your ability to interview, present at work, even date.
Learn story structure, early setups and how to pay them off later, emotional beats, nuance, and performance techniques in this introductory workshop from an award-winning filmmaker and storyteller Michael Ker.
About Michael David Ker: Michael David Kers training is steeped in the work of world-renowned acting coach, Sandra Seacat, as well as Robert Johnson & Hal Stone. He began (over 20-years ago) working with mainly actors to help them integrate their dreams and Inner-work into their film projects, but it evolved into something greater.
He has been working with Creative people, ranging from writers to yoga teachers for over two decades and loves the process of helping people reach their full Creative Potential and working toward greater Self Acceptance at the same time. (Dreamwork is in Michaels bloodline. His grandmother, Elizabeth Ker, studied under Karl Jung and was a protégé to Carl Meiers for many years.)
He is an award winning filmmaker, Moth Story Slam Winner, and Solo-show performer.
