I Love Chocolate! (and wine tasting!)
For the Love of the Library, Chocolate and Wine
On October 18 from 4-5pm, join the Sonoma County Public Library Foundation (SCPLF) for a fun, free, virtual event, I Love Chocolate! (and wine tasting!) featuring talented chocolatier and Texas native, Robert Buttercup Nieto who will demonstrate his craft of creating delicious chocolate treats and pairing each with wine to enhance the flavors.
Roberts extreme love for chocolate has sweetened his journey from line cook to pastry sous chef at 5-star hotels, the Bouchon Bistro and Bouchon Bakery in Napa, Michelin starred Madrona Manor, and Jackson Family Wines, as well as winning numerous awards.
Recently he launched Fleur Sauvage Chocolates where he creates custom chocolates for local wineries using seasonal ingredients. His sweets can be found at Sonoma County farmers markets, festivals and special events.
Unable to hold the annual Chocolate and Cinema event at the Rialto Cinema in Sebastopol this year, the SCPLF encourages library supporters everywhere to enjoy I Love Chocolate! (and wine tasting!). Participants will receive instructions to purchase wine and chocolate (if they wish) as well as a link to the free event.
You can participate in the tasting by purchasing gorgeous and delicious chocolates from Fleur Sauvage Chocolates and Chef Robert's recommended pairing wines. The recommended pairings are:

You can purchase the chocolates from Fleur Sauvage Chocolates directly at www.fleursauvagechocolates.com or the Healdsburg Farmer's Market on Tuesdays. The wines are widely available at Safeway and local grocery stores. Of course, you are welcome to participate by choosing your own chocolate and wine pairing, or simply picking your favorite chocolate. Make it a fun night with a small group of friends or keep the chocolates all for yourself!
