Daniel Cainer's Jewish New Year Chronicles (and other stories)
Daniel would have been in SoHo Playhouse, New York with his fifth off-Broadway run were it not for that pesky virus. But fret ye not. You can still tune in here for a special 'New Year' virtual concert from Cainer with more of his Jewish Chronicles, observational comedy and commentary, stories and songs.
Unlike some of the virtual performances you may have seen, this feels like being in the front row of a proper concert with great sound and picture, along with Daniel's highly personable and charming delivery.
We promise it will be the most entertaining hour you've had with your clothes on since Lockdown began. And if you decide not to wear clothes when watch it... we wont tell anyone.
Proceeds from any donations you make will be split between the SoHo Playhouse itself and the Jonah Macabbe Foundation.
You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll beat your chest... all from the comfort of your sofa (if you have a sofa).
Thank you for bringing joy to us - JG, Los Angeles
Honest, edgy, touching and unpredictable; it will leave you tapping your toes and longing for more - The Jewish Week, New York
You don't have to be Jewish (or British) to get a kick out of Cainer's routines - LA Times
An extraordinary performer. His songs are at times heartbreakingly poignant, at other times laugh-out-loud funny. Utterly charming, highly recommended - Edinburgh Festivals Guide Magazine
