Overview:

A trauma informed individual or curriculum can only go so far. A trauma responsive organization and leadership team is key and also necessary to ensure there is a creation and implementation of an institutional framework for trauma informed services. This includes not just your program delivery but also your staff development, policies and procedures, administrative practices, and organizational infrastructure.

Part 3 of this 3 part series focuses on organizational integrity and accountability. This workshop is for entire organizations. Direct service providers, administrators, educators, assistants, interns, supervisors, leadership and more.

During this 2-hour intensive, we'll move beyond the initial thirst for training and find ways we can be intentional year around in planning for and delivering trauma responsive services. Participants will hear best practice in leading a trauma informed organization, examine their own role in holding themselves and the organization accountable in this work, and see how organizations can demonstrate an ongoing commitment to trauma responsive care with communities of color.

Why I Should Attend:

While many organizations (schools, clinics, businesses, government offices etc.) are trauma-informed, becoming trauma-responsive means looking at every aspect of an organization's programming, environment, language, and values and involving all staff in better serving clients who have experienced various forms of trauma.

This workshop is designed to assist organizations, leaders, inspiring leaders, and educators in becoming trauma-responsive prior to implementing an in-depth trauma curriculum. To ensure everyone in your organization holds themselves and their leadership team accountable, we encourage everyone to attend.
