Parlor of Mystery presents Magic, Mentalism & Comedy
Sunday, March 22, 2020 at 7pm magicians Joe Garsetti, Carl Mercurio, Terry Parrett and Mike Maione will get together at the Parlor of Mystery to perform dazzling feats of magic and mentalism. The show will have no shortage of laughs and lots of illusions that will have the audience scratching their heads and holding their bellies.
Joe Garsetti - Magic has taken Joe Garsetti throughout the country, from Seattle, WA to Miami, FL. He has appeared at several State Fairs in Oregon, Idaho, Pennsylvania, and, more recently, at the NJ State Fair in the Meadowlands. Joe performs close-up magic and large stage illusions. He has been a member of the Magic Castle in Hollywood CA since 2001 and has won awards in NJ for his manipulation and dove magic act. Joe and his wife, Diane, created the Sparta Avenue Stage in Sparta, NJ. The venue is an intimate 66 seat theater-specifically designed for magic, comedy, and performance theater.
Carl Mercurio performs regularly at New York's Monday Night Magic, Magic at Coney, and numerous bars and cabarets throughout New York City. Mercurio not only performs magic but writes about it as well, with articles appearing in Genii-The International Conjurers' Magazine, contributions in Simon Lovell's How to Cheat at Everything and Grandson of Simon Says and his book, Bar None: The Bar Magic of Carl Mercurio.
Terry Parrett, Emcee, is a magician, mentalist, author, and professional hypnotist who has performed for audiences all across the country. He lectures for other magicians at conferences in New York, Albuquerque, Tennessee, and Toronto and recently finished consulting on the feature film, "Splinterheads."
Mike Maione, just back from an engagement at Mohegan Sun, is Long Island's silliest magician, Mike Maione. Mike is one of the founders of The Parlor of Mystery and the Parlor's principal producer. Mike will be performing close-up magic during intermission.
The Parlor of Mystery is one of many programs presented at the South Shore Theatre Experience in Lindenhurst. Its the perfect place to experience parlor and close-up magic. It is a small black box theater with comfortable tiered seating for 40. The Parlor of Mystery is one of many productions that take place at the South Shore Theatre Experience, which is located at 115 South Wellwood Avenue in Lindenhurst. The South Shore Theatre Experience is a non-profit organization that produces original works and theater classics as well as conducting acting classes & workshops.
Parlor of Mystery shows usually take place on the fourth Sunday of every month with different magicians performing different effects. Ages 7 and up.
