Special Dating Event for Lesbians and Queer Women 55+
The LOCA (Lesbians of a Certain Age) Conscious Girlfriend discussion group wants to help you to find love and build skills to sustain a lasting relationship!
Our Meetup group meets monthly to discuss the ideas presented in the book Conscious Lesbian Dating & Love: A Roadmap to Finding the Right Partner and Creating the Relationship of Your Dreams by Ruth L. Schwartz, Ph.D. & Michelle Murrain, Ph.D. Were hosting a mixer and discussion group for women 55 years of age and older based on the concepts and skills presented in their book, on their website and in the online classes they offer. Are you not quite ready to date but curious? Possibly or definitely looking for a relationship? In an open relationship and seeking others? Then this event is for you!
The event will open with socializing time, followed by small group discussions of some of the topics presented by the books authors. The discussions are intended to help break the ice and allow participants to get to know others (and themselves) on a deeper level than usually experienced at social or dating events. After the discussion groups there will be music for dancing and additional time to socialize and connect. Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
Please get your ticket soon. It's helpful for us to know how many are attending so we can plan accordingly. Admission at the door is at our discretion.
