The Apple Tree House presents Speranza's VOTES FOR WOMEN on the Stages Festival Tour with New Jersey Theatre Alliance
Speranza's latest historical production, VOTES FOR WOMEN, by Jennie Contuzzi, is touring Hudson County with the New Jersey Theatre Alliance Stages Tour. Performances are May 1 - 9, 2020 at 4 different locations. All tickets are free and open to the public...see you at the show!
It's 1913, and, thousands of women gather in Washington, D.C. to march for a constitutional amendment guaranteeing women the right to vote. For a family audience of all ages, this emotional story is told from the perspective of the women who led the charge and paved the way for the fight for equality.
VOTES FOR WOMEN is a timely show about the passing of the 19th amendment and the current state of the Equal Rights amendment. This family-friendly show includes historical figures such as Alice Paul, Lucy Burns, Ida Wells-Barnett, and Woodrow Wilson.
