Parent-Child Classes for parents and their young children ages birth - 4
Our classroom is filled with open ended toys made of natural materials that offer many opportunities for imaginative play and safe climbing and movement. Here, parents and their children can explore and experience a calm rhythm that supports play, healthy self-initiated movement, imagination and imitation. Themes related to child development, Waldorf education and parenting the young child are explored through readings and facilitated discussions including:

Diana Marshall Mei
Diana is the mother of 3 and step mother of 3. Five of her children attended Waldorf School. Diana attended the San Francisco Waldorf Teacher Training of Rudolf Steiner College and UC Berkeley. She has worked with young children and families for the last 35 years in a variety of capacities: as a family home day care provider, public school teacher, Waldorf Kindergarten and Nursery teacher and Parent-Child teacher. She is also a teacher of adults at LifeWays Northern California Coast and the Bay Area Center for Waldorf Teacher Training. A fluent signer, she will offer some basic signs during this session. your exploration of Parenting and Waldorf Education.
Diana cares deeply about supporting each parent and child on their own individual path.
Monday Cooking: 9-12pm Ages 2.5 - 4
10 Classes: March 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
April 20, 27 May 4, 11, 18 $500
Well start with chopping vegetables and kneading dough, singing songs and reciting verses. Then on to circle time and play while parents discuss weekly readings. Well share our meal of soup and bread, go outside to play in the garden! This 3 hour class offers varied activities sure to engage everyone.
Wednesday MoonStars: 10-12pm Ages Walking - 3
11 Classes: March 4, 11, 18, 25 April 1, 22, 29 May 6, 13, 20, 27 $500
Our class will start in the classroom with circle, observation, play and a discussion of our weekly reading. Then well share a meal of soup, bread and fruit and end our time together in the playground.
Thursday Nature Class at El Polin Spring Presidio San Francisco Ages 2-4

April 2, 23, 30 May 7, 14, 21, 28 $500
Join us as we walk to the adobe wall, practice balance and climbing, gather sticks and play in the mud. Next, well hike to the waterfall and watch for hummingbirds splashing in the pond. Then along the boardwalk to the willow tree for a circle time of songs and movement. There well share a picnic of frittata, muffins and tea and discuss our weekly reading. Our class concludes with more play in the stream to the well where well splash and explore together! Rain boots are a must.
Friday Rainbows: 9-11am Ages Birth - Walking

Well begin in the classroom with babies lying on their backs on a cozy blanket and sheepskin. Then a circle of songs and rhymes followed by quiet observation, play and discussion of our weekly reading and any questions you might have. Well share a meal of oats and fruit and end our time together in the garden.
Friday Moonbeams: 11-1pm Ages Walking - 20 months
11 Classes: March 6, 13, 20, 27 April 3, 24 May1, 8, 15, 22, 29 $500
Come into the classroom for circle, observation, play and discussion of our weekly reading and any questions you may have. Then well share a meal of soup, bread and fruit and end our time together in the garden.
Acorn Farm:
A paradise for young children. Here at the farm youll find a large parking area, no need to search for street parking, and a lovely porch with cubbies for shoes, boots and bags. When you enter, youll come into our beautiful light filled classroom, with toys just right for young children. Outside, under the oaks, youll discover a wonderland of swings, sand and play. Well plant and harvest vegetables in the huge organic garden while chickens cluck nearby.
