Manhattan Concert Productions presents Stetson University Concert Choir
Manhattan Concert Productions is pleased to present an evening of choral music featuring Stetson University Concert Choir at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New York City this March. Don't miss this one-night only performance as they embark on their spring concert choir tour, led by Conductor and Dean of Stetson University School of Music, Timothy Peter.

This wonderfully crafted three-part program will include Knut Nystedts Be Not Afraid; Pavel Tchesnokos Let Thy Holy Presence; Roelof Temmings Himne; Jocelyn Hagens Hands; Jake Runestads A Silence Haunts Me; Dan Forrests "Non, Nobis Domine; Bhay Lam, Bhay Lam, arranged by John Stender and Timothy Peter; Henry Mancini s "Moon River, arranged by Steve Zegree; Pepper Choplins Walk a Mile, arranged by Mark Hayes; Amazing Grace, arranged by Evelyn Simpson-Curento; Mark Millers I Choose Love; and Friedrich Flemmings Stetson Alma Mater.

The Stetson University Concert Choir is a highly select 58-voice ensemble. The choir performs  repertoire selected from sacred and secular choral genres, numerous languages and many cultural domains. Recent  performances have included Mozart's Requiem, Bach's St. John Passion, Brahms Requiem,  Britten's opera Albert Herring, Poulencs Gloria, and Monteverdi's Coronation of Poppea.

Timothy Peter, DMA, is the Dean of the School of Music at Stetson University. Prior to his position at Stetson, he was Professor of  Music at Luther College and served as the head of the Music Department. He currently conducts the Stetson Concert Choir, recently conducted the Stetson Men, and has taught conducting courses and led international field- study courses focusing on J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel in Germany and England. He is involved in the Florida Vocal Association, the Florida Music Education Association and the American Choral  Directors Association. Timothy Peter is a highly sought-after guest conductor with engagements throughout the United States and abroad, including performances at Carnegie Hall, Orchestra Hall  in Minneapolis, Orchestra Hall and Rockefeller Chapel in Chicago, the Georgia Dome in  Atlanta, the Alamodome in San Antonio, the Seoul Foreign School  Center for the Performing Arts in South Korea, and venues throughout England, Germany, Namibia, Oman, South Africa, South Korea, and Singapore.

Tickets: $25.00 general public, complimentary for students and educators.

Online ticket sales will end on Sunday, March 1 at 9:00AM. Tickets will be available at the door for purchase on the day of the performance.
