Annie Palmer, Kari Holmes, Shannon Lee at Manchester Underground
In celebration of Women's History Month, Manchester Underground presents a panel of amazing singer songwriters to share the stage on March 21. Annie Palmer, Kari Holmes, and Shannon Lee will take turns performing songs and discussing the importance, history and/or meaning of those tunes in their personal life. This is an incredible opportunity to get an inside and inclusive perspective of these artists in a very unique and intimate setting. About the artists: Annie Palmer is the banjoist and vocalist of indie folk-rock group, Little Traps. She's performed throughout the mitten in various venues with the band and as a solo artist. Her warm vocals and roots inspired banjo & guitar playing combines to make an artistic sound that will resonate in your heart and soul.
Kari Holmes has made quite an impact in the country music world. Her first single, "Something New," was released to mainstream country radio and instantly made the top 200 on Music Row. Her debut single, More From Me, made it on the TOP 20s on the Inspirational Country Music chart (ICM) and she was a top 10 nominee for ICMs New Artist of the Year.
As an acoustic solo musician, collaborator and songwriter, Shannon Lee Music draws from the deep well of roots music as well as contemporary indie genres to inspire her songwriting. Her take on favorite songs from artists who write from Americana, country, folk, and Indie perspectives are unique and engaging.
