From PhilHarmonia With Love
Join PhilHarmonia choir at Fleisher Art Memorial to celebrate that love is always "in season." Enjoy a melodious choral concert, a chocolate fountain with delectable dippings, complimentary wine, and a champagne toast. For $1, dedicate a song to someone (anyone!) you love, and your dedication will be read aloud...with a rose presented to the highest bidder.
PhilHarmonia will examine love in its many forms over time: budding, fresh, exciting, crazy, comfortable, cultivated, and weathered. With music ranging from Renaissance madrigals by an Italian nun and poems of Tasso, to Romantic English and Sephardic folk songs, to familiar pop ballads, we will serenade you. Composers include Vittoria Aleotti, Thomas Morley, Gustav Holst, William Hawley, Christopher Theofanidis, Mari Esabel Valverde, and more.
Doors open at 7pm; concert starts at 7:30. Seating is first-come-first-serve.
Off street parking, across Catharine Street from Fleisher, is free but limited.
