For the Love of Rope: Building Connection and Intimacy Through Rope
There are many ways that you can build a connection with your play partners and significant others. Shared experiences and building on things you both enjoy in a sensual way can make anything sexy, sensual, and bring people closer together. Rope play often combines all of the sensual, sensory, and intimate experiences, making it the perfect grounds to build connection and build up the heat in intimate play!

This is a workshop for those who love rope and want to bring it into their more intimate play as a way to help them build the intimacy and connection with those they tie. This is also a great workshop for those looking for ways to use rope in ways that can be utterly, completely, sizzling hot. This class is significantly oriented towards couples and groups who enjoy and want to build their connection and play through rope. Singles are welcome, but you may not necessarily find a partner for practice.

As part of this workshops class plan we will look at:

* Making talking about rope sexy, and ways you can get anticipation going.

* Building connection before even touching the rope for your scene.

* Non-tying ways of using rope to create sensual atmosphere for your play.

* Building rope-harnesses and ties that incorporate toys.

* Ways to tie a body to enhance sensual and sexual sensation.

* Ties that help expose your partner and help enhance sexual positions.

There will be opportunities to practice the ties involved in this workshop as well as the opportunity for some free-tying at the end of the class. This class assumes that participants have taken at least a basic rope course, and understand how to tie simple harnesses and column ties. We also recommend that you bring several lengths of rope of at least 30 in length, as well as rope that you can potentially give to a partner in case of fluid exchange.

This workshop is going to encourage active participation, but we want to make sure we have an educational and comfortable experience for everyone involved. We follow these principals of teaching consent:

No One is required to participate in anything that makes them uncomfortable. If at any time you feel pressure to participate, you should feel free to speak to a representative of the space during or after the class or workshop.

You are not expected to contribute to the discussion in any way if you do not wish to.

The instructor will inform the workshop attendees of anyone working as a teaching assistant bottom, as well as any of their pre-negotiated rules regarding how the bottom will participate to make sure that attendees are given full awareness of consent.

If there is something unclear in the workshop, you are not required to request clarification at the time, if you wish private clarification, the instructor will give contact information so you may get that clarification if needed.

The instructor for this workshop, Geoffrey Quick has been kinky for over 20 years, been a part of the local Olympia community for over a decade, has run a public munch for over 8 years, and has been running workshops and classes for over 4 years. He has been practicing rope in various ever-evolving styles for over a decade.
