Choosing a Career in the Creative Industry
What does it mean to say "I want to be an artist when I grow up"? In this engaging workshop, we're bringing together college counselors, art directors, professional artists, and art administrators to talk about what it really means to work in the creative sector.
Not everyone becomes a studio/gallery artist, many become product designers working within large corporations, arts administrators in the nonprofit sector, social justice advocates, sole proprietors and more. All of which are not only lucrative, they are extremely fulfilling! This workshop's topics will include finding the right college for [your] career path, the vast array of jobs in the creative sector, and the infamous "how do you make a living as an artist" talk.
Come learn about the "behind-the-scenes" work in the creative industry. This timely workshop gives youth a head start for pursuing summer internships.
This workshop is for young artists of all media - visual, literary, performing, culinary, design.
Please RSVP. FREE to attend.
