Nascent Creations (Ages 11+ Short Film Program)
Saturday, March 7 - 7:00pm

Ages 9+

These wacky, adventurous, musical, and sometimes hard-hitting films are youth-made creations that invite us into the worlds of young filmmakers in Seattle and beyond. This not-to-be-missed showcase was curated entirely by a panel of youth film lovers: Beezus Murphy, Milo Bradley, and Africa Tesfa.

79 min.

** Content advisory: These films tackle difficult issues, such as racism, gun violence, and environmental crisis, which may be unsettling for our most sensitive viewers. Free Rider is about a horse, with some issues of cruelty to animals touched upon. **

Filmmakers in attendance will include Kevin Phillips and Alan Terrell, the UK filmmakers/mentors of "Life of a Plastic Cup," G. Alvarado, director of "Mr. Happ-E," and Dana Potter, director of "Free Rider."
