Chicago, the High School Edition
This is County Prep's musical. A darkly satirical, razzle dazzling musical set to the backdrop of the Prohibition-era Chicago. The show has its origins in real-life, high profile crimes, criminals and trials of the 1920s. The play even made its broadway debut in 1926, running for 172 performances. Chicago, the play and later, the musical, both pokes fun at corruption in the criminal justice system and the idea of "celebrity criminals."
