Love, sorcery, and tragic opera -- what better way to spend Valentines Day weekend? LOLA (Local Opera Local Artists) and Panoramic Voices present Henry Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, a stunningly beautiful 17th-century baroque masterpiece.

The cast includes Ivy Cantu making her LOLA and Panoramic Voices debut as Queen Dido and the powerful, well-established baritone David Small in the role of Aeneas. Two sopranos will be making their debuts: Jihee Han making her LOLA and Panoramic Voices debut as Belinda, Dido's confidant, and Natalie Howard making her LOLA debut as the Sorceress with a vendetta. Rounding out the cast are mezzo Julie Silva as Second Woman, soprano Mary Kettlewell as First Witch, mezzo Jessica Blau as Second Witch, tenor Jeffrey Jones-Ragona as The Sailor, and countertenor Holt Skinner as The Spirit.

This collaboration features musical direction by Brent Baldwin (Artistic Director of Panoramic Voices), stage direction by Rebecca Herman (Artistic Producer of LOLA) and choreography by Erica Gionfriddo (co-founder of ARCOS Dance).

A portion of the ticket sales will benefit the SIMS foundation.

Tickets are available on a sliding scale from $10-40, with VIP seating available at $50. We ask that you pay what you can - tickets purchased for more than the $10 minimum help us provide the opportunity to allow other music lovers to see the show at a price they can afford.

FREE parking is available in 2 convenient locations: the parking garage to the North of the church on 16th street and the open lot to the West of the church off Rio Grande. Youll find the main entrance to the building on Rio Grande Street through the big doors. If you selected the Physical Ticket or Print at Home ticket delivery method, please bring your printed ticket with you and enter through these doors. Will Call ticket holders, please enter through the glass doors to the left of the main entrance.
