Man Cave, a One-Man Sci-Fi Climate Change Tragicomedy!
What would you do if you were the last man on earth, but weren't SURE if you were the last man on earth? What sort of messages would you send out to your imagined fellow last men? And how long would you wait for a reply?
Burrowed into a Hobbit home in northern Canada, our hero broadcasts into a microphone for whomever might yet be listening. Realizing that there may not be anyone out there, he turns his aim toward warning whatever Klingons, Vulcans or Tralfamadorians might still be receiving radio signals, telling them how not to do what we did! Realizing that, at the far end, they may hear this disembodied voice as God talking to them, he works his way through a new Ten Commandments for a changing planet.
Along with a stirring rallying cry for saving the planet, "Man Cave" walks a line that draws chortles and laughs in the face of the deadly future that looms ahead.
Chicago touring artist, Tim Mooney, brings this existential peek into the apocalyptic future to L.A. as part of the Whitefire Theatre Solofest 2020.
