Acknowledge Every Success Conference April 2020
Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life. Proverbs 22:6
This seminar is suited for children's ministry volunteers, children's ministry directors and any individual interested in seeking a Bible-focused approach to behavior management.
Many faith-based organizations have a high volunteer turnover rate in their children's ministries. This turnover rate is highly correlated with child behavior. Implementing Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports(PBIS) into your house of worship will help retain and develop your volunteers.
Many volunteers feel a lack of support when dealing with classroom management. Upon introduction to PBIS, volunteers were opened to learning and creating useful strategies. The PBIS framework that is used in schools across the world is a beneficial and critical tool that can be used to retain and develop faith-based organizations volunteers.
Attendees will leave this conference with an understanding of how to implement: Behavioral expectations Techniques to teach rules and procedures Definitions of problem behaviors Understanding of functions of behavior Ways to respond to behavior Church to family connections Correction procedures Classroom structures Ways to approach tantrums and meltdowns Universal, targeted and intensive supports
